Author Guidelines

Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Bisnis (EMIS) welcomes original research papers, review articles, and discussions of current issues in the fields of economics, management, and business. Manuscripts must be written in proper Indonesian or English and must not have been published or be under consideration elsewhere.


1. General Information

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) at: https://journal.yazri.com/index.php/emis/index.

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism, with a similarity index not exceeding 25% (checked using Turnitin).

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) format, following the official EMIS template.

  • Authors are encouraged to cite at least one article previously published in EMIS to support the continuity and development of the journal’s scholarly discourse.


2. Writing Format

  • Font: Lato

  • Font size: 11 pt, single spacing, without extra space between paragraphs

  • Paper size: A4 (21 × 29.7 cm) with 2.5 cm margins on all sides

  • All figures and tables must be embedded in the text and properly captioned


3. Article Structure

The manuscript should contain the following components:

  1. Title – written in Lato 24 pt bold, maximum 16 words, in Indonesian or English.

  2. Author(s) and Affiliation(s) – include full names without titles, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author’s email.

  3. Abstract and Keywords – one paragraph (100–150 words), describing background, purpose, methods, results, and conclusion. Articles in Indonesian must include abstracts in both Indonesian and English.

  4. Introduction – explains the background, research gap, objectives, and contribution based on recent literature.

  5. Research Methodology – describes the research approach, design, participants, data collection, analysis techniques, and rationale.

  6. Results and Discussion – presents findings systematically and analytically, linking them to theories and previous studies.

  7. Conclusion – concise and clear, summarizing the main findings and contributions.

  8. Acknowledgements (optional) – for funding agencies, collaborators, or individuals who contributed.

  9. References – written in APA 7th Edition, with at least 15 references, 80% of which should be from primary sources published within the last 10 years.


4. Tables and Figures

  • Tables must be numbered consecutively with titles placed above them.

  • Figures must be numbered consecutively with captions placed below them.

  • Use only horizontal lines in tables; avoid vertical borders.

  • Ensure all visuals are clear and high-quality.


5. Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Screening

  • All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin for similarity checking.

  • Plagiarism, duplication, fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited.

  • Violations of publication ethics will result in immediate rejection.

  • Authors are required to cite at least one article previously published in EMIS to demonstrate engagement with the journal’s scholarly contributions.
