Sculpture is a branch of three-dimensional art that plays an important role as a medium for representing local culture. In the context of a society with cultural diversity, sculpture is not only present as an aesthetic work, but also as a visual medium that reflects the values, symbols, and collective identity of a community. This study aims to examine sculpture as a representation of local culture by examining its visual form, symbolic meaning, and social role in traditional, contemporary, and public space contexts. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data were obtained through a literature review of open-access journal articles and an analysis of visual documentation of relevant sculpture works. The analysis process was carried out through the stages of data reduction, thematic grouping, and interpretation of the meaning of cultural representation. The results show that sculpture represents local culture through the selection of themes, symbols, forms, and materials rooted in the traditions, beliefs, and social practices of the community. Contemporary sculpture based on local culture demonstrates a transformation of values that is adaptive to developments over time without eliminating cultural identity. In addition, sculpture in public spaces functions as a visual communication medium that strengthens cultural awareness, local identity, and the community's collective memory. This research confirms that sculpture is a medium for representing local culture that is dynamic, contextual, and has an important contribution in preserving and strengthening cultural identity amidst the currents of globalization.Sculpture is a branch of three-dimensional art that plays an important role as a medium for representing local culture.
